What We Believe

We Are Biblical

We hold to the Scriptures as God’s inspired and authoritative revelation to us.

We Are Orthodox

We see ourselves as part of the historic “one, holy, catholic, and apostolic church,” and hold to the Christian faith as presented in the Apostles Creed & Nicene Creed.

We Are Reformed

We emphasize the key tenets of the protestant reformation as contained in the Westminster Confession of Faith and Catechisms, and we believe a deep grounding in the reformed faith produces humility, hope, and gladness in the sovereign grace of God.

We Are Presbyterian

We follow a presbyterian form of church government, with elders* who shepherd and deacons* who serve.  We are a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA).

**We are in the process of moving from a church plant to a particular [independent] church. You can find out more about this process HERE. Currently, we have 3 Ruling Elder nominees- Bob Blaise, Brad Hough, and Dick Nangle- who will be voted on at a Congregational Meeting on January 11. If elected, they will be installed as our first class of Ruling Elders on February 8, and will lead and shepherd SRVC alongside our 2 teaching elders [pastors].
